Unique Pattern

Today's outfit is one I love. One because i did my first tailored blazer! I completely did it myself! It isn't the best  I know and you may see some flaws but I overall was so proud of myself. The fabric was pretty easy to sew though, the lining is always the biggest issue for me. The pattern or print if you want to call it I immediately was drawn into and fell in love because of its weird/uniqueness. I said if I pull this off it'll look great and if not it'll like kind of tacky? In the end I was in love with the results, and i mean the fabric was $1.50 the yard, can't beat that? I added just a simple grey cotton fabric to make it stand out instead of just the same pattern as the bodice. To make it pop i just ironed interfacing on the inside of the lapels. We paired it with a complete black jumpsuit which suited well , and the belt just added the uniqueness to the look. In our case at least we don't see blazers worn with a belt below the bust. Just finished it off with some shiny low heels.

  13. Wow, I can't believe you made this blazer!!! It looks flawless to me...I looooove the creative pattern and the way you belted it, makes it your own design. And that collar is what makes it so amazingly standout...I just love the way it falls away from your shoulders, so elegant!!!
